THE STATE OF LEADERSHIP

In the world we live in, especially in the African continent everything is spiritual. When you don't have the art of leadership within you you are not ready for God to do something greater for you.

WHO IS A LEADER?

A leader is someone who is ready to be led by someone higher than them. A leader has to follow the orders at all times.

1 Samuel 15:8-9 (MSG)  He captured Agag, king of Amalek, alive. Everyone else was killed under the terms of the holy ban.

Saul and the army made an exception for Agag, and for the choice sheep and cattle. They didn't include them under the terms of the holy ban. But all the rest, which nobody wanted anyway, they destroyed as decreed by the holy ban.

As a leader you are called to make sure that the  people you oversee are looked after, it is your call to make sure that nothing goes wrong in the process of your leadership. Saul was disobedient to God and his kingship was taken away.

In leadership you have to have all trust in God, not when it suits but at all times. It doesn't matter whether you are called into the five fold ministry or not but as long as you have someone to supervise it is also leadership, it means that it is your calling and your duty to pray for those under you.

PRAYER AND WORSHIP IN LEADERSHIP 

When you are leading people it will be an error for you to not understand the importance of prayer and worship in leadership. You have to understand onething,that in everything that you do or plan to do there is an enemy trying to sabotage what God is showing you and the only way to conquer the wickedness of the enemy when you are a leader is to be a person of prayer and worship.


CONCLUSION

In conclusion I want you to pray this prayer with me:

Say Heavenly Father, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, thank you for the art of leadership that you have entrusted me with. Help me to be faithful in what you have called me to do in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
